Editor, Nourish magazine
Rachael Morris is the editor of Nourish magazine and has been committed to veganism for over 13 years. Rachael has an informed, thought-leading point of view, and aims to inspire others to try plant-based living with a supportive and moderate approach. With a focus on holistic health and wellbeing, she remains an occasional, and unapologetic, foodie in these hedonistic vegan times. Rachael is representative of the broader Nourish team, who are all passionate about plant-based living and bring a variety of skills and perspectives to the awards.
Board Director, Vegan Australia
Lucy Stegley founded the event hosting and promotions service Raw Events Australia, and also set-up the world’s first 100 percent vegan university campus cafeteria ‘Realfoods’ at RMIT. Lucy was the co-founder of the non-profit organisation Doctors For Nutrition, a charity that educates on the science of a wholefood, plant-based diet, and is currently a Board Director of Vegan Australia.
Author, Journalist and PR
Katrina Fox is an award-winning journalist, author, PR consultant and founder of VeganBusinessMedia.com. She is the host of the Vegan Business Talk and Conversations with Vegan Women Leaders podcasts and author of Vegan Ventures: Start and Grow an Ethical Business; the first global book providing success strategies for aspiring and existing vegan business owners. Katrina is also the founder of the Vegan Women’s Leadership Network, a global leadership community.
Director, Collective Fashion Justice
Emma Håkansson is the founder and director of non-for-profit Collective Fashion Justice, which seeks to create a total ethics fashion system that protects human and non-human animals, as well as the planet, before profit and production. She writes on sustainability and ethics in fashion for multiple publications, and is an author with two books on the way. Her business Willow Creative Co produces photographic and video content for ethical fashion brands, and she has created campaigns for the protection of animals for multiple organisations.
Chef, TV Host
Simon Toohey is the presenter of Australia’s first completely plant-based cooking show Freshly Picked on Channel 10. The MasterChef grand finalist is so passionate about heroing the humble vegetable and inspiring people towards more sustainable ways of eating that he has been dubbed ‘The King of Vegetables’.
Ultra Trail Running Champion
Lucy Bartholomew is a plant-based athlete and the World Ultra-junior Trail Running Champion. She competes in ultra marathons around the world and runs community training camps based around wholesome plant-based food, yoga, and laughter. Lucy has also published her own plant-based cookbook, Sustain your Ability and is an ambassador for Salomon Running.
